Join the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition and Independen ndigenou il n edi for a free six-day video production workshop at First Alaskans Institute in Anchorage, AK.

Monday-Friday, April 9-13--4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday, April 14 & 15--10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Independent Filmmakers, Missy Whiteman (Arapaho and Kickapoo) and Isaac Larsen (Dakota) and NABS Executive, Christine Diindiisi McCleave (Ojibwe), are inviting 20 Youth (ages 12-24) to participate in creating a passionate film/video about boarding school healing in Alaska. The videos created will be part of the Healing Voices Video Series sponsored by the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition.

Youth will learn about media/film production, editing, and boarding school history and impacts. Youth will film healing stories about boarding schools, and edit the videos to be screened (viewed) at the end of the training.

The Healing Voices story collection is about highlighting stories of healing, resiliency, and hope.
